National Championships – Victorian Team Selected

We are very excited to announce the Victorian Team selected to represent us at Nationals on the 7 – 10 November, 2019.  This event is a qualifying event for the 2020 Oceanic Titles which in turn is a qualifying event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The following athletes will take on the best athletes of Australia:

The Mammut 2019 Open National Lead, Speed and Boulder Championships are scheduled to be held next month as follows:

This event is then the qualifier for Oceanic Titles which will be held from 28 – 29 March, 2020.

October World Cup Series – Results

The two final Worldcups of the season were held this month in Xiamen, China from 18 – 20 October, 2019 and Inzai, Japan from 26 – 27 October 2019.

The usual Australian suspects made the journey to compete with Oceana Mackenzie and Campbell Harrison from Victoria; Joshua Damasco from WA and Lucy Stirling representing QLD with the following results across lead and speed:

ANOC World Beach Games

As we head into Olympic year (2020) our athletes are ramping up their training.  In the lead up to the Olympic games the ANOC World Beach Games were held in Doha, Qatar from 12 – 16 October with the Bouldering event being held from 13 – 14 October, 2019.

19 males from 13 countries and 19 females from 17 countries were selected to represent their nation at the games. For Australia, we were represented by two strong Australian athletes in Oceana Mackenzie and Campbell Harrison who finished 17th and 19th respectively.

Tasmania State Boulder – Results

Tasmania hosted the last boulder state titles of the season in the last weekend of September.  As always the Tasmanian crew are very welcoming and a number of the Victorian crew made the trip south to the ever green state.
