From 21 – 22 July, 2018 the WA State Boulder Titles were held marking the start of the 2018 Boulder Season. The qualification rounds were held on Saturday followed by finals on Sunday.
We had three Victorians making the long haul trip over to Perth to compete. Putting on an amazing performance were Luke Humphreys, brother Daniel Humphreys and Bec Leed.
All three competed in both their youth category and the Open A category. Luke Humphreys came 4th in Youth A Male and 18th in Open A. Daniel Humphreys made the podium coming 2nd in his Junior category and 17th in Open A. Bec Leed also finished on the podium coming 2nd in Youth A and 7th in Open A. Congratulations to all the competitors!
Back here in Melbourne Bayside Rock held their Black Knight annual event, utilising black lights to create a glow-in-the-dark experience. Advertised as more a party than a competition, Bayside Rock did not disappoint putting on an amazing show.
Congratulations to winners Oceana Mackenzie, who blew the competition away completing a daring dyno, and Ned Middlehurst who both took out the Open A titles.
