The boulder season continued over the weekend, this time with our very own state titles. It was gratifying to see so many Victorians make their way to Geelong to compete.
We had 101 competitors competing across all categories. The Junior and Youth categories started the show in the morning and the day finished with Open A Finals.
In Open A, Claire Kassay and Sarah Davis had a tight battle on their hands with Kassay winning the day by a mere 2 attempts to top. James Kassay was a clear winner topping 3 of the 4 problems in style.
For those of you interested in competing at Nationals, this was a qualifying event. Victorian competitors placing in the top 3 of their category are automatically selected. We will be in contact with those who qualify shortly.
Sport Climbing Victoria would also like to thank our amazing volunteers, as without them, the day would not run. Thank you to all those who judged, provided food, were isolation stewards and route set for the day!
