Ned Middlehurst has taken strides towards his Olympic campaign.
While selections for the Australian Team for the Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games will not be confirmed until the first half of 2018, Middlehurst has qualified for possible selection by winning the male Youth A combined event at the 2017 Oceania Championships in Noumea, New Caledonia.
To round out the region selection, Sarah Tetzlaff of New Zealand has secured the female Youth A selection.
